This guide, like all of our content, is tried and true. We conducted extensive research to uncover the essential sites so that you return home confident that you’ve seen it all. It is important to know that we actually followed this exact program in real life. Traveling with our itinerary means that you can minimize the legwork and maximize your time away.
Know Before You Go
This itinerary starts and ends in Warsaw. We recommend renting a car (otherwise you must rely on trains and hired drivers).
Poland takes seriously the AAA international drivers permit and will not rent you a car without one.
You might consider buying advance tickets for Auschwitz and the Wielicza Salt Mine.
Although you can drive from Warsaw to Gdańsk, we suggest riding the rail. Tickets are easily purchased online or with the help of your hotel.
